In August 2022 the National Portrait Gallery embarked on a historic fundraising campaign to raise the funds to acquire the work for the public collection. This was a defining opportunity for the National Portrait Gallery to diversify the national collection and engage new audiences and Cingilli Collection were thrilled to be able to support this acquisition.
